The Oscillating Saw has the advantages of both oscillating and rotating movement.This versatile saw has many uses invaluable to Post mortem Surgeon. The oscillating movement permits cuts in either direction without the danger of the blade jumping It does not tear tissue. The movement in performance to the No. 180- Rotary Electric Saw. The variable speed Footswitch permits speeds slow enough to insert saws etc The Jacobs chuck accommodates any size pin, wire orattachments up to and including 1/4 diameter.
The motor unit and cord should be sterilized by Autoclaving. Complete operating and sterilizing instructions are supplied with each unit.
The change from rotating to oscillating movement is simple. The stainless steel chuck is marked with an identification safety line. When this safety line is visible above the chuck cap the chuck is in the rotary position. To change of oscillation, release the knurled screw located closes to the base of the chuck cap. The chuck is now pushed downward with twisted motion; a slight snap is heard when the chuck has been seated down in oscillating position and he safety line disappears inside the chuck cap. The knurled screw is now tightened
It is Important that the chuck to be locked in either rotation or oscillation movement before running.
Remember the saw is in rotation when the identification line can be seen
